2/3 Day Workshop

ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING

COURSE INTRODUCTION

Fire emergencies in industrial, commercial, and high-risk environments require more than basic firefighting knowledge. They demand confident decision-making, effective teamwork, hazard recognition, and the ability to respond safely under pressure. The Advanced Fire Fighting course equips participants with the practical and theoretical skills required to manage complex fire emergencies before professional fire services arrive.

This course expands on the principles learned in Basic Fire Fighting by introducing advanced fire behaviour, incident command, firefighting tactics, rescue techniques, hazardous materials awareness, emergency planning, and the operation of various firefighting equipment. Participants will gain hands-on experience in responding to realistic emergency scenarios while working as part of an organised fire response team.

Upon successful completion, learners will be able to assess fire incidents, select appropriate firefighting strategies, coordinate emergency responses, perform safe rescue procedures, and assist in protecting lives, property, and business operations.

This programme is ideal for Fire Marshals, Emergency Response Teams, Health & Safety Representatives, Supervisors, Security Personnel, Maintenance Teams, and employees responsible for emergency preparedness within their organisations.

ISO 9001:2026 – Preparing Your Organisation for
The Next Evolution of Quality Management

Introduction

ISO 9001, the internationally recognised Quality Management System (QMS) standard, is set to undergo a major revision, with the updated version scheduled for publication in 2026. This revision will introduce important enhancements that place greater emphasis on risk-based thinking, leadership accountability, and continual improvement. For organisations committed to quality, compliance, and operational excellence, early preparation is essential. PDCA Projects supports businesses in navigating these changes with practical, risk-focused solutions that promote long-term sustainability and certification readiness.

Understanding ISO 9001 and Its Business Value

Since its introduction in 1987, ISO 9001 has been adopted by organisations of all sizes and across all industries. The standard provides a structured framework for managing quality, improving consistency, and meeting both customer and regulatory requirements. ISO 9001 certification demonstrates reliability and credibility, often serving as a key differentiator in competitive markets, procurement processes, and tender submissions.

Benefits of an Effective ISO 9001 Quality Management System

A well-implemented ISO 9001 system delivers tangible value beyond certification, including improved customer satisfaction, increased market access, streamlined processes, and reduced operational and compliance-related risks.

What to Expect from the ISO 9001:2026 Revision

The revised standard is expected to strengthen risk and opportunity management, expand leadership accountability, and align with the Harmonized Structure to ensure compatibility with other ISO management system standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

How Organisations Can Prepare Now

Organisations do not need to wait for the official release to begin preparing. Proactive preparation includes reviewing existing systems, strengthening risk-based thinking, aligning quality objectives with business strategy, and ensuring adequate resources and responsibilities are in place.

Turning ISO 9001:2026 into a Strategic Advantage

The ISO 9001:2026 revision presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen quality management systems, improve organisational resilience, and enhance competitive advantage. Early preparation allows organisations to respond effectively to future requirements. PDCA Projects partners with organisations to deliver practical, compliant, and sustainable ISO solutions that add measurable business value.
